I was still a little sick but wanted to run. Cool "desert sprint" by Greater Phoenix Orienteering club.

Super fun night-o at the desert. We walked the whole thing with Keegan because we were both a little sick and tired. It was amazing to be at the desert at night and when we climbed up to the big hill (you can see it on the map) we could see Phoenix and all its lights. It was sooooo cool!! Btw walking at desert at night is not easy because of all the cacti.

Amazing sprint at the University of Arizona campus. Starting with a quick corridor and finishing with a bit longer sprint course, this was one of the most fun events at the Southwest Spring Week!! I didn't do very well but whatever, it was fun.

Sprint intervals at Reid Park. Each interval was printed on its own little piece of paper and they were stapled together. For every interval you had to orient your map without compass and then run. After every interval you walked to the next start triangle. I was running with Ethan and Keegan and did the first couple pretty well but then I just died and my body was just not able to recover between the intervals. Probably because I didn't do much during the 3 months I was injured... But it was fun! See a screenshot from google maps with my route on it.

Super fun street-o in Bisbee. The map made it not so easy and at the controls there were multiple choice questions that you had to answer! :D Bisbee is this little old town close to the Mexican border and some famous people move there when they retire/get tired of people. A cool compass training at Iron Wood in Arizona. The actual map that we used had all the legs whited out but for analyzing I used the whole map. We walked all the way to 7 with Keegan and once we started spiking the controls we started running. I did every other leg.

Probably my favorite training of the Southwest Spring Week. Our schedule was tight so I didn't have time to go to all of the controls. I skipped 11, couldn't find 12 and skipped 14. The parking lot was pretty far from the finish so that's why my gps route keep going

Second day of the Southwest Spring Week. Nice terrain again, but a lot more hilly. I didn't do as well as on Saturday. I accidentally missed a control (you can see it in the picture) and got disqualified.

The first day of Southwest Spring Week! Awesome terrain about an hour drive South from Tucson. Beautiful open reentrant terrain, definitely one of the best terrains of the week.

Got new shoes today and of course I had to go for a run with them. They felt great and my knee was almost pain-free. I'm happy now, maybe I'll be able to actually run some day!!

I designed a course and we went to run it with Ethan and Keegan. First real orienteering course for me in a long time and my knee felt surprisingly good. I was able to run the course which I was super happy about!

I talked to the school's trainer and we came up with a program for me to slowly get back to running. I biked at the gym for 30min and then did elliptical for 10min. It felt great!!
