H1 at Malmalling.
Started badly, losing about 45 seconds on the first, think I was on track but things didn't look as I expected at the top of the hill and I turned the wrong way for a bit. Took a wide right route choice on the long leg to 8 to avoid climb but it was harder going than I had hoped which also made it harder to read the map so wasn't really feeling confident of where I was heading a lot of the time. I thought I had spotted a clearing to exit through when leaving 8 but when I got closer I realised it was the new unmapped track so was then a bit unsure of where I was for a while which slowed me down a bit (I think the track actually was going through the clearing I thought it was).
Lost another minute or more on 13 where again I was going about where I intended but it didn't look how I expected and I made poor decisions about what to do in response. Ended up finding a distinct isolated boulder that I couldn't identify and decided to head down to the creek to relocate but found the control after about 60m.
Rest of the course was pretty fast and easy, just took it a bit carefully on 14, 16 and 18. Heel started to get a bit sore towards the end but apart from that I was actually feeling pretty good running.

Jogged over to KP and went with the fast group for school cross country training. Includes walking over the treetop walk bridge and some faster running coming back down the broadwalk. Liam struggling a bit at the back of the group (particularly walking over the bridge) but kept his pace up well to the end.

Pump class with CC. More normal session this time but a bit more emphasis on shoulders than usual. Lunges were good, really got the glutes burning by the end. Jogged over to the tennis courts afterwards to see how Liam's 6:15am strength session was going. Just lots of testing to get a baseline measurement at the first session.

First half of GA's 5/8 surge course, starting at sunset. Legs felt reasonably good but I don't know that I'm fit enough for this yet. Heel was pretty good, heart not so great. Had a bad patch in the recovery section after the effort down the broadwalk and decided to skip the 5th effort at that point.

Ran with Rachel on her warm up, then did loops around the ovals while she did her intervals. Sort of trying to help motivate her through her intervals but probably just annoyed her.
