H1 at Malmalling.
Started badly, losing about 45 seconds on the first, think I was on track but things didn't look as I expected at the top of the hill and I turned the wrong way for a bit. Took a wide right route choice on the long leg to 8 to avoid climb but it was harder going than I had hoped which also made it harder to read the map so wasn't really feeling confident of where I was heading a lot of the time. I thought I had spotted a clearing to exit through when leaving 8 but when I got closer I realised it was the new unmapped track so was then a bit unsure of where I was for a while which slowed me down a bit (I think the track actually was going through the clearing I thought it was).
Lost another minute or more on 13 where again I was going about where I intended but it didn't look how I expected and I made poor decisions about what to do in response. Ended up finding a distinct isolated boulder that I couldn't identify and decided to head down to the creek to relocate but found the control after about 60m.
Rest of the course was pretty fast and easy, just took it a bit carefully on 14, 16 and 18. Heel started to get a bit sore towards the end but apart from that I was actually feeling pretty good running.
