Note

planning a Metro+jog home tonight . . . air should be good. then fast tomorrow for a preventive screen on Thu. how soon after a full colon scope can one expect to run safely?
6 PM

Walk/Run 1:00:00 [1] 3.5 mi (17:09 / mi)
(sick) shoes: Hoka Challenger ATR

walk/ jog, mostly walking back from Metro to Webster, then heard the loudspeaker at Moss, went over to check out the JV meet, saw some nice 800m races. just basically walked home. felt terrible. very out of sorts and low energy. like still fighting some low level viral. absolutely no energy at all. no WAY could think of interval training when I can barely walk. not really sure what is going on with this malaise.

billy is running a 102F fever so likely I am fighting a virus to which I've been exposed to in the distant past so I have some antibodies against, my body is just mustering the defenses and spending all my energy fighting it successfully; on the other hand, billy probably has not been exposed to it so is developing primary antibodies while the virus has its way with his body.

wife is also fighting something so we are one hurtin family unit.

Walk/Run 30:00 [1] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Challenger ATR

shadowed billy on a little out and back loosen up run suggested by the coach, a setup run for his big workout tomorrow with the high school team back in St Louis.

great facilities here at COW . . . brand new indoor 200m track, took a fast lap at end of run just to see how it feels. It feels good! with the screens down to guard the tennis courts in the middle of track, give a sensation of speed as they whoosh by feet from my head. also, feels like I am constantly turning. and my feet sound super loud indoors. Fun! nice cushy rubberized surface. too bad not time for a full workout.
