Shooting 2:30:00 [1]

shot at the outdoor range. Had the usual conditions of variable wind speed and direction. Wind speed ranged from 0-12 mph and went all 360 degrees. Shot really well prone making small groups using the cheap ELEY ammo. Tried the match grade WOLF and the grouping was worst versus ELEY. Shot well standing also. The one range officer that used to be a pain left the four they have now are really good. Towards the end goes downhill fast. Shot 300 rounds total. this time when I shot prone could be in the position I wanted to be in. Had to change the windage by a lot since I was changing from Fiochi to Eley.

Running 40:00 [1] 5.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

ran easy. Changed to new sneakers since the others one seemed worn out. Usually I do not need to break in sneakers I think these will need a couple of runs to feel good. Seem to be on the heavy side.

Shooting 1:30:00 [1]

shot some prone to set my windage after cleaning the gun. Did not shoot well at all finally got a good group after about 35 rounds.

Biathlon 34:00 [2] 4.0 mi (8:30 / mi)

ran 4 X one mile shooting twice prone and twice standing. Did not shoot all that well with this either only hitting 2 and 3 prone and 4 and 2 standing. Maybe part of the problem was that I was on the first lane after trying to use another lane and when the entire target holder fell on the floor 54 feet out. Could not straighten my legs like I usually do. The least little touchy thing you do to change your shooting really seems to really screw it up. did farily well standing just with all of the high power tougher to concentrate. shot more standing and prone after running. at least redeemed myself at the end hitting 10 for 10 prone. towards the end of finishing up my rounds the target got stuck again on this lane. shot 150 rounds total.

Cross country skiing 1:00:00 [1]

went to a different place thinking it would be great ended up only being so so. Totally flat at least good quality snow by the edge of the woods. Moved along well just with a strong sun could feel it getting slower. Used this new wax that is supposed to be good for any condition and it worked well.

Shooting 2:00:00 [1]

shot 10 rounds prone to zero and went to standing. At first shot with the gun on my fist and decided to switch to putting it on my palm. Wow! this went really well. On the other side of the range so had more light. Scored 159 out of 200. Practiced some biathlon target shooting also. Shot 200 rounds total.

Weightlifting 1:00:00 [2]

This went well also. Mostly focused on my legs, but did add a bit more upper body this time. Did push ups with bosu ball, more push ups, pushed the sled with 135 pds on it, single leg press, single leg extension, squat to overhead press with 35 pds, runner lifts, core work, overhead dumbell press, walking lunges with and without weight, step ups.

Had a massage afterwards with stretching. Body starting to feel refreshed.

Cross country skiing 40:00 [1]

This time added more challenge going to a place that had more hills. Did well on the downhill. Just a lot of fun to play around in the snow. No idea what kind of distance I cover skiing hard to translate since with skiing you can glide at times.

Cross country skiing 40:00 [1]

Second time skiing since the snow is going fast. moderately hill field.

Cross country skiing 1:20:00 [1]

This time got to go on real snow. Did not take long to get my form back and I moved really well. Used my junky skis which are classical style. Snow was powder and fairly fast.

Snow shoveling 45:00 [1]

cleaned up the driveway and walkways.

Running 36:00 [1] 4.5 mi (8:00 / mi) +100m 7:29 / mi

ran part of the AT I never ran on and WOW is it fast! Some light snow, but it had already been well trekked over before I arrived. Had to run out and back so first went South and passed back through the parking lot out of curiousity to see how the North section is and this was even faster. Only went for a about 1/4 and even as I turned around in the distance it still looked fast. All the more I wanted to run for the first time out in a while. Wore spikes so stuck to the ground really well.
