Running 40:00 [1] 5.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Decided this time to taper more heavily before my race. I think I was overtired and thus the race time was rather slow.

Running 2:00:00 [1] 8.3 mi (14:27 / mi) +350m 12:47 / mi

Picking up streamers and glow sticks in one section of the MMT 100 trail race. Finally caught up with the last people in the race with about 1.5 miles to the aid station so I could not pass them.

Walking 30:00 [1] 1.4 mi (21:26 / mi)

Jesse and I walked up to the lookout tower. I needed to give the last runner a gap before continuing to pick up streamers.

Running 1:30:00 [1] 5.5 mi (16:22 / mi) +150m 15:05 / mi

Much faster leg for streamer pick up. Making good time until about 3.5 miles into this leg caught up with the last man in the race. The other two men had passed him so again I could not pass him as I picked up streamers. He was talking that he was going to drop out and I thought after going 88+ miles he could finish. I got the other man I was with the run with him carrying his water bottles etc. while I did streamer pick up. He was really close to not making the cutoff for the next aid station which was to be at 90 miles by 12:40. So I ran ahead so the next man who would pick up streamers could pace him in. He was allowed to continue and I looked at the results this AM he was last making it by 8.5 minutes.
