Running 1:59:00 [3] 15.0 mi (7:56 / mi)
shoes: Asics gel

Distance is an estimate. Planned to run with 20 started to snow quite a bit plus needed to get to the store as I hardly had any food in the house. My knee is bothering me a bit. Ran about 8 miles of this on the roads the rest on trails with a group.

Cross country skiing 1:30:00 [3]

The streets were well covered plus it take a while for them to get cleaned up. Moving pretty well going fast enough to pass a jogger. Hoped to go out again with the Patriots playing this might be tough to squeeze in. Used the cheap skiis so have to work extra to get moving. Never had problems with the snow sticking. Had to walk with the skiis on over some of the snow emergency roads that were down to pavement plus had salt on them.

Running 47:00 [1] 6.0 mi (7:50 / mi)
shoes: Asics gel

Ran at lunch; about all the more I can squeeze in. Did not want to freeze tonight as temps drop into the teens with winds.

Running 1:46:30 [1] 13.5 mi (7:53 / mi)
shoes: Asics gel

Run to downtown to watch the parade. Kind of nice to run down the middle of lots of streets due to the large areas that were blocked of for all of the activities. The secret service did draw the line and would not let me run on the mall as this was a staging area for the parade. It started one hour late so only watched until I was to cold. Had a very easy time going over the snow covered path that leads into DC running the miles just as quick as when it is asphalt only.

Running 16:00 [1] 2.0 mi (8:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics gel

Running back to a metro stop to get out of the city. Managed to squish into one of the metro cars to get out.

Running 34:00 [1] 4.0 mi (8:30 / mi)
shoes: Asics gel

First run of the day. Slow running due to 1" of snow on the streets and more coming down.

Running 50:00 [1] 6.0 mi (8:20 / mi)
shoes: Asics gel

Most of the streets I ran on still had snow cover so slowed me down a bit. Came back and shoveled for about 30 mins cleaning up our house and a neighbor's. Only about 2 inches of snow so really can not count this as exercise.

very cold. Ran just fine as the cold seems to be behind me. The day off yesterday plus a massage helped speed up the recovery. I could have used one more layer of clothes as I was a tad cold especially in my hands.

Orienteering 46:36 [1] 3.3 km (14:07 / km) +135m 11:43 / km
shoes: Orienteering spikes

ran the orange course at Great Falls Virginia. Planned to run the brown just with 4.4 K and 15 controls did not want to be out in the woods long. As promised the course setter had the bags low so had to be very close to see it. probably could have done more distance felt OK. Lost some time on a rock control had to micro O for it. Monday is a rest day.

Weightlifting 30:00 [1]
shoes: Asics gel

Lifted for my legs and situps. My legs are bothering me a tad so I think the lifting will help.
