HK Team Training @Kaohsiung Metropolitan Park
Course A: 4.74km, 14c (ISSOM 1:5000, 2m)

This is the other part of the park where I came to run the WRE sprint back in February, but the terrain is completely different. This part was formerly a landfill which has been converted into a park. Besides some paths, there aren't too many manmade features. There are some monitoring stations scattered throughout. Mostly it's open / rough open grassland, sometimes with scattered trees.
I had expected to have a sprint training on semi-relevant terrain in preparation for the AsOC Sprint in a few days. Instead, I get a really really long 'sprint' course on terrain that doesn't quite match with the competition area. The legs are also non sprint-like.
The left leg/hip/hamstring areas are quite sore from the physio treatment last night. In generally, legs just didn't have the zip and I struggled to keep a good pace.

Sprint Training @Kaohsiung Metropolitan Park
After lunch, pretty much at the hottest hour of the day, we went out for a second sprint course. It was disappointing to see way too much similarity with the morning course. It's just as long, with several legs exactly the same, plus running through the thigh-high "yellow" grass fields!
So I skipped a couple of controls, and rearranged some of the orders to try running different routes. I didn't have much enthusiasm for the run, and with the heat and sun bearing down, I mostly just jogged the course.

Running warm up/down (Pavement) 2:00 [1] 0.33 km (6:00 / km)

brief cool down jog
