Southwest Invitational- 1st meet of the season. Not as fast a time as would have liked but it was almost a minute faster than last year so. Went out 15 seconds faster than should have and suffered because of it (splits were 6:26, 13:16, 20:38). Need to work on pacing and maintaining a steady pace. Kick was good at the end tho :D

2 x 2 kilometers, steady state. Hit the 1st in 8:21, and the second in 8:17. I can't believe I was able to go faster on the second, even though it wasn't a real fast effort. It felt surprisingly okay.
