great weather - why would anyone want to drive a car at all, unless it was really really the only way?
whole foods run - feeling a bit run down, so took it easy.
down to Cliff Cave and back. What a day! Felt like I was coming down with something but buzzed and enduring at the same time.
Wall to wall cars on Telegraph but rode on the windward side of the road both ways.

pre-run of cliff cave course, some walking in and out, and during to mark map. VERY green out there, literally and figuratively. Some of the map areas need to be deepened in green shading for deadfall/vine zones.
Satisfied with the course. Its kind of tough going at first and then opens up to more trail choices. It does help to pay attention to the vegetation on the map. I must say I never saw CC quite this way, seemed like a bigger park than it is:)
Started with 5 min warmup, then 6-7 'windsprints' up a hill, like 200's, then cooldown.
Then rode 'long way' (still on the way tho) to nursing home and back. At first, those sprints took a big bite out of my legs, but later a little rest and a gorgeous morning conspired for a great bit of riding.

Ran to wilmore park etc. reading S_F map. Never really had done this before, but it is helpful. Something I learned on AP! Need to concentrate on scale, not so much even pace counting as thinking this smidgeon on the map is 100 meters, about a football field. Football fields seem to be a good unit of measure for me.
