To/from meet and biking around setting up the short course.

Orienteering (Valleyview Map) 1:20:00 [3]

Cruising along fine then pulled a stick out of my foot. That seemed to be the end of me as CP10, 12, 13 I blew up on - lost about 25min. Time is a guess as I really didn't want to know.

All three of my mistakes were about 15-30' off of target and not getting a visual on it. We're talking grasslands with re-entrants & pits so that isn't a far distance. Anyway, it would take awhile before I'd come back to my original point and finally see it ... or see it back on the far side of the re-entrant as I had given up and hit the ridge. Blah.

Left calf is pretty tight but functional.

Ed - looks like my time was 1:11:51 but the start didn't time so that's from CP1 to finish. So close enough. 12min on CP9-10, 9min CP11-12, 6:30min CP12-13. So roughly 15min of waste - not as bad as I actually thought it would be.

Surprised by the improvement. I definitely wasn't feeling it this morning. My calf is pooched and I just generally felt lethargic. So, it is nice to see I actually did this quicker than last time because I felt very slow.

On last interval the hail cometh - horrible weather right now.

Had Dale pushing me along. My calf cramped up bad on the second run. That is the first issue I've had with the 5F.
