Note

A 3-day weekend at Big White with the boys. If snow fights, tumbling off the catrack in the dark, 2km walks to and fro from the bar, sleeping on the road, seeing who could pick up the biggest chunk of snow, and poker were sports, then I got a lot of training in this weekend. Not much different than when we were in our early 20's. Only we would occasionally interrupt the jagrbombs with 18yr old whiskeys.

Brilliant conditions on the Saturday. Got fresh tracks on 3 hours of sleep and a strong buzz. Done by 11:30am:-).

Up the same old hill to the gym.

I'm really liking the SRAM component swap I just did on my bike. I just need to fine tune the lever placements. Gears work brilliant except for the fact I always change in the wrong direction. Too many years of the XTR lever has me trying to get use to thumb shifters again.

Tough as this focus' on all of my weaknesses. Strong legs, strong core, strong back, and wimpy arms (all relative).

Anyway, had the bigger boys motivating me to at least try and keep up. Left elbow began aching and I bailed on the last two push jerk sets and went back down to #95 to just complete it and work on form.

Bit of a poor showing the last few days, I'll admit. But, a bike ride was interrupted (pleasantly) by a friend dropping by to talk about the passing of our paddling bud and I forgo a run to play in the kiddie pool with our 2-year old niece. Some good fun!

But I did get my @$$ out of bed this am to run some intervals.
