Pulled a rookie move and missed my call up, which meant Jen missed hers too! Started in the back row back corner in the leader's jersey haha. I told Jen it would be good UCI practice. No worries. Caught Ella on the giant stairs early in the first full lap and took the lead for good. Again with the TT. Took a bad line and not enough speed into the puddle of doom and went swimming on lap3 then did it AGAIN the last lap. So much for a white jersey. Meanwhile, Laura VanGilder was quietly coming up behind me after having started with the masters a minute behind. I didn't even realize she was racing. The last lap I went hard to make sure she didn't pass me. Win again. This gives me my Cat2 upgrade, and with it my UCI license.
