Orienteering 2:30:00 [3]
Last HVO event for the year and it was such a successful one! Thanks Betsy for organizing and Bernie for course setting, and all the others who are always contributing. Special thanks to Craig, who handed me a fat check for my expenses from Highlander.
I spent quite a while out on the Green course today. Kept calling out hello to Stefan on the course, except his name is really Christian, Jeremy's new friend. I must be missing Stefan, who hurt himself at Westmoreland and hasn't been to our events lately.
A West Point volunteer noticed a bubble in my front left tire and so we left the event early so that I could get my tire replaced. It all worked out well, as we feasted at the diner across the street while waiting. Fun conversation at the table with Sagi, Tove, Diana, and Fellipe. Lots of countries/cultures represented. We played Heads Up.
There is getting to be really quite a handful of us going orienteering who live in the city. Used to be that one car was enough but lately we've been needing two! Thanks to Misha for taking Lina and Daisy up with him today. It's great to see.
