Presidential Traverse
Never had the chance to do a Presi or Pemi, and I had to skip plans to do a Pemi in June because of foot issues. Having had about 1-2 weeks feeling better on my feet and the last minute invite to do a Presi with Ari, Alex, and Brendan, I made the questionable choice to go for it. Kind of a last minute decision, and grateful that Graham was willing to float down a river with Andy while I was gone for the day.

Really beautiful day with good weather. The terrain was harder than I realized, so I have a lot of respect for those folks doing the FKTs on this. I was not in the best shape but hung on for the whole deal. Started to get a stomach ache pretty early on that was getting hard to deal with by Mt. Washington. Might have been lack of salt or irritation from just eating bars along the way. Got a hotdog at the summit which may have helped a little. Feet were getting more sore in different spots coming down Washington. Made it to the bottom a couple of minutes after the rest of the group and rather than getting a dunk in a stream decided to walk out with Ari. Kinda didn't communicate this well to the rest of the group and they thought I got lost or eaten by a bear or something. It all worked out and we were able to enjoy some birthday crepes (Happy BDay Ari!).

Stomach still bothering me when I went to bed and also when I woke up in the morning on Monday. Not sure what the source of the issue is, but similar to what happened at Seven Sisters, if not as acute.
