I have considered getting a pair for some time. I think they would be very helpful especially in crunchy snow. Some of the 'sports' model are no wider than a couple of shoes widths. They would be snag resistant in everything but some green stuff.

I have two pairs of snowshoes (one of them huge antiques), and access to a couple of other smaller pairs that I can borrow if the circumstances warrant. I just didn't expect that much snow up there. Now my plan is to finish up the streamering on Thursday, but the forecast is for... heavy snow! I'll probably bring the snowshoes in case I decide that it's worth using them. Didn't expect this so late in the season, and unfortunately there could well still be substantial snow on the ground for the meet on Sunday. Hanging flags on Saturday is likely to be a drag as well.

Still on unless somebody tells me otherwise. I guess things are maybe looking a little better in terms of the weather, but it's just an improvement from horrible to pretty bad. Raining hard on a bunch of new snow that's been melting for a day or two. But the rain might hold off until late. And we don't yet know how much snow will fall.
