That's a lot of wildlife to see when you're going as fast as you do! Sounds like a great day in the woods. I'm looking forward to hearing about the wildlife you'll see in Japan.

Seeing wildlife is one of the nice things about our sport.
I had the unpleasant experience of running into a cow moose the other day (almost literally) though. Anyway, she was a bit spooked and took off. then as I continued she circled back to me and kept coming towards me. Having more guts than brains I tried to call her bluff and moved towards her yelling. She backed off but came back towards me when I continued. I kept running and eventually she stopped following me. I don't know what caused her weird behaviour. I can only guess that maybe she had a calf nearby?

That aside, looks like the training is going well for you. Keep up the good work. See you soon.

The part in there that throws me for a loop is the suggestion that the moose was the one who was bluffing in moving towards you rather than the other way around.

That said, your log gives the definite impression that you've moved into a high intensity technical training phase - it's impressive and enviable the proportion of your training time you manage to spend orienteering. I wish it was practical for me, though I can at least do the high intensity part.
