"achillies hurt most of the way round but didnt stop because i was having a good run"

The phrase "asking for trouble" springs to mind....

yeah well i can rest it and let it recover and most of the time it would have taken just as long to get back to the finish then finishing the course

Do yourself a favour Adam and have a couple of days doing nothing at all....you wont loose fitness doing that. In any case, you'll be doing plenty of running Dartmoor later this week!!

Im not going to dartmoor anymore :L im planning on taking wednesday to friday off because i habe an urban race on the weekend so i will prpbably kust go for a cylcle tommorow and some gym on tuesday then have a break till the weekend :)

Shame you're not coming to the Moor - we've got cracking areas! If I was you, I'd still do myself a favour by taking some time off!.......especially if you're going to be doing running on that nasty tarmac stuff next weekend. That ain't good for anyone......and is even less good if you're injured (not that any training or racing is good when you're injured....just the tarmac stuff is even worse!)

Good stuff - you'll be there for the day that will probably be on Burrator :-) .....but, looking at the forecast, also the day that will be damp! :-( Are those going to be days where doing nothing means going for a 90 minute bike ride, or days where you actually do nothing?!?! I'm afraid I'll never be converted from 'real' orienteering in the countryside!

Yeah should be good :) i was talkig to jeff about it yesterday and it will be good practise to orienteer on a 1:15000 map ahead of the big races :) yeah ive seen that to :( not like the of south enlgand atall of im hounest :L nothing at all :) with the exception of maybe cycling to school and back after half term :) yeah well i suppose you live surrounded by good countryside where the best area local to me is leigh woods its easy ro be converted to urban :)

You're right - I'm well lucky with where I live! :-) So I know what you mean about you being converted. Yes, it will be good to be on the 1:15 map for a bit......a bit of fog too would make it really interesting!!! Well done for actually planning some days doing SFA!...you need them!
