Painful to watch! Been there - done that. Always learning.

Thanks for sharing in my pain. Disappointing in that I was literally within FEET of the control at least twice. After using the creek as a catch, I think I was confused as to how accurate the map was depicting the water. Of course the map was spot on. The split was doomed from the first step. No matter how many times I tell myself how important it is to head off in the right direction, when in the moment, I still just plow on in what I "feel" is the right direction. Equally disappointing in that I feel this was the most technical point of the course.
