Discussion: Not alone

I'm not too upset to be out of the country at the moment and thus having only indirect exposure to the whole situation. (Most bizarre was seeing comments to the effect that Cathy Freeman wasn't booed after the 1994 Commonwealth Games - you'd have to look pretty hard to find an athletics crowd in Australia large enough to do any booing even if they wanted to). The disappearance of the Prime Minister is also something worthy of more attention than it's so far received.

I think many of us outside 'AFL world' are bewildered by the vehemence of the pro - boo movement - so defensive, so angry , not at all reflective.

I agree it leaves a very bad taste. Hopefully some good can come from the discussion.
