Note
(rest day)

Looking back, I'm quite suprised at how well I did this last week, especially after the slow performance at Merritt College. I've had a slight cold the whole time, but I was able to run hard and not really injure the leg.

I never expected to stack up so well against some of these guys - even when they are not in top form. I think the TAC training is quite beneficial. With track workouts and running I felt like I was beating against a wall, trying to edge a tiny bit more speed out of already maxed out muscles.

My hope with TAC is that I'm developing the core strength and explosiveness to ward off injury, and that maybe I will have a higher ceiling when I start focused running again. Performing so well last week makes me a little more optimistic that this approach will work.

Pretty moderate class. OK with me.

Orienteering 20:00 [3]

McClaren Day two. Awesome. I held up pretty well till control 11, where I made a bad route choice and lost 30 seconds. Eric caught back up, which Magnus and Jon got away. I was able to lead Eric for the rest of the race, till he out-powered me up the last hill. Edged me by 4 seconds in the end.
