Almost done with my book-on-phone.
Taped my big toes so they didn't get torn-up on rough pool bottom. Worked.

Swim 46:00 [3] 2.4 km (19:10 / km)

400s, 300p, 100k, 2 x 200s, 200pwp, 100k, 3 x 200s, 200pwp, 100k
Felt pretty good; just some calf cramps from aquajog.
Stroke count is up 1 from where it's normally been in past years. I attribute this to my being careful to not overstretch forward.

... until Charlie flatted out with no spare.
Only to return an hour later and find me on the streets of Chicago in a stroke of amazing luck !! Yeah !!!
... until Charlie flatted again.
Was rainy for the first hour and fun the whole time. Reminded me of my days living and working in the city. Saw so many of the old places holding great memories. Was totally relaxed and in non-race mode.
Totally awesome map and event organization by Kathy & Michael.
Yay CAOC !!

Run hills (road) 45:00 intensity: (26:00 @3) + (19:00 @4) 5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

10 surges up a short hill (~150m). They're hard to come by here on this ancient lake bottom so we take 'em where we can get 'em.
Felt stiff on the jog over and fell back from the group but finally loosened-up and ran the hills reasonably well. Jog back felt much better. Quads are sore from the past few days. I need a long relaxing swim tomorrow & jaccuz.

Group ride. Was planning on riding with the B group but they all decided to all go out together. Staying near the front and eventually I was left with the A guys just hammering away. Turned out to be a good hard ride.

Cruise Intervals with training group.
Good intensity, perfect temperature, felt ok- bit sore from Sunday.
Thursday is hills. Yay. I'll be cooked after biking tomorrow and then that.

Basically a bunch of 150s with some kicking breaks. Pushed it a bit and was pretty drained by the end. Felt decent.
