Continued on at a steady pace, had some issues around 45 as was not a lot of features around and was pretty subtle so missed that one and kept going. Fortunate at 51 to attack it from the fence line so managed to pick it up and then realise it was on the first instead of second wc jction. Glad Ian picked this up as would have made bearing to next CP difficult otherwise. Kept at a steady pace, Ian not feeling the best but soldiered on. At sunrise realised we were still ahead of time so opted for southern loop without going back to HH first as would have wated time. Managed to get back with 15 mins to spare, jogged a bit in the last 2 hrs but mainly just kept up a nice walking pace the entire time. Thanks Ian very enjoyable and great result taking out mixed and 4th overall.

12hr upside down with Ian.

Planned a 40km course seeing we were both not at any sort of peak level of fitness with an additional loop at the end which could be done pack free if required, that way in case we were ahead of time we wern't dropping too many controls early.

First 4 hrs went well apart from a false start on wrong side of fence, mainly bush the first few controls and got into a nice routine pretty much taking turns to nav on every other CP.
