Crazy run in the Rouge. I don't know what I was expecting, but after last weekends awesome run the trail conditions came as quite a surprise. South of Twyn Rivers it was a combination of running a bobsled circuit, or crossing rivers that were running across/on the trails...knee deep in some places. North of Twyn Rivers it wasn't nearly as bad, although all the trails were rutted solid ice. Running without screws/cleats would be suicide. Knees and ankles got a workout from this one.

Snowshoeing at Durham with Simpy. I hate to admit it, but snowshoeing in lieu of running is starting to grow on me. Temperature didn't seem to even factor in (I was actually over dressed), and we had a lot of fun trekking off-trail.
