Run 40:00 [3]

super run with just about no rain and just about no one in the National Park at Noosa. Ran down Tanglewood track to Hells gate and then back along the coastal track to end of Mitti St.

Run 1:10:00 [3]

Xmas Day run with Thor, Jon and guest appearance by Andy. We managed to find a small dry patch amidst the rain. Great start to the day with quick bite to eat, shower and off to airport to pick up No. 1 son. Best turkey ever and totally magic day.

Run (road circuit) 30:00 [3]

Not too bad. I didn't want to run but was forced into it by Andy telling me about his amazingly quick run. I am worried that when we run together in Noosa this year I will have to eat dirt.

Run (Boscombe Rd Circuit) 42:00 [3]

I can't remember ever doing this run so slowly. I would blame it on the stress of doing an Indro expedition twice in 1 day but the place was quite civilised, perhaps the great unwashed are actually trying to avoid debt this year? Sales are in full swing.

Run 1:10:00 [3]

nasty humid morning and I just couldn't feel enthusiastic about running. Pathetic

Yoga 1:50:00 [3]

the grandfather to my left was a freak, perhaps an alien?
It hurts to touch my toes so doing it whilst relaxing is quite tricky. Thank goodness for the relaxation bit at the end - I'm really good at that bit.

Run (street o) 36:44 [3] 5.0 km (7:21 / km)

a very wet street o, my route was perfect, my running was good but I was hampered by my map disintegrating. I was fine for the first 4/12 but after that things got tricky. with 5 to go I laid out what was left of my map out on the bridge and memorized what i could. Thanks to a couple of other runners who were wise enough to bring a plaky bag and generous to stop for a min to let me look at their maps, I managed to get back in a reasonable time.

There was a sausage sizzle at the end and I was torn cos I knew there was a damn fine curry waiting at home for me.The curry won and I went home empty handed.

Run (long run) 2:05:00 [3] 18.0 km (6:57 / km)

Long run at Binna Burra with Anna, Dan and Rachel. It was quite damp when we started and the trail was wet and boggy in parts, that soon changed when the precipitation changed from showers to torrential downpour. The original plan was to do Coomera circuit but it would have been really slow and slippy so we opted for doing the Hobwee circuit. Last stop at about 5.5k out and everyone was covered in leeches and ready to finish. I rolled my ankle a couple of times on the Hobwee loop so I was a little nesh with the run home. It was good to get into dry clothes and remove the wee beasties from legs and hands. Breaky was ok - not amazing but coffee was good. We bleed over the floor of the cafe from a few persistent bleeders.
My very first leeches.
L ankle might have to go onto the injury log - hope not.
