Orienteering 1:32:37 [3] 6.8 km (13:37 / km)
shoes: O-RocII

I missed the BOK meet last weekend, and Joseph sent me the red course that he and Ruth designed and set. Very very nice course design. It was quite challenging, with two long legs passing through one of the most complex (mis-mapped?) areas of the park, another leg at the end going through a very confusing section of the map (sometimes referred to locally as the Bermuda Triangle), and a brand new unmapped trail criss-crossing the course.

Control. pickup 2:30:00 [2] 4.0 mi (37:30 / mi)
shoes: F-Lite

Clearing 9 controls and 2 water stops from OLOU's recent meet at Bernheim Forest. A nice chance to re-connect with a great orienteering venue.

Orienteering 14:28 [4] 1.8 km (8:02 / km)
shoes: O-RocII

OLOU's sprint meet at Cherokee park. A great park, and a really fun friendly vibe. Really great to see Ken, Jim, Dan, Aaron, Louis, Laurie, and everyone else. A nice course set by Ben King that would seem on paper to have been a runner's course. But I navigated very solidly -- perhaps losing only a few seconds because of hesitation here and there -- and finished quite well, despite my rather slow jog on most of the roads and trails.
