Abortive effort at a ride. Got a couple of km out and didn't quite bunny hop over a kerb at speed well enough and punctured the rear tyre. Changed it and the second tyre just couldn't take the air (later found out the pump was defective). So walked home. Fortunately I wasn't at the far end of the ride or it would have been a loooong walk home. Lesson here is to carry 2 spare tyres and to have a pump that actually works.

had a second go at the day's ride. After the morning's effort, had lunch and a bit of a nap after fixing the tyre and ensuring I had a spare and a pump that worked. Beautiful evening and headed up to St Cloud. Started getting quite dark and realised half way round that I really should have brought my lights. But not to be too daunted, still had a great ride and loved teh crisp cool air and the full moon. Feeling pretty good afterwards.

First run since Dubai. Just too busy with work and travel since coming back. This run felt like crap, but had to be done. Hope that the ride tomorrow is a bit easier.
