Used the following map to do some sprint exercises with my brother.

Gave ourselves 1:30 to draw a route for the entire race. then did it again, giving ourselves 5:00. Compared route choices. Route choices didn't differ greatly between 1:30 and 5:00 routes. did notice quite a difference between Alex's and my choices. He tended to go around the white, sticking to the fields while I was in favor of cutting right through.
Classic XC skiing (classic) 17:00 [2]
Took the dog out for a short ski.
Super frustrating because most of the ski tracks have almost entirely disappeared because of people walking on them.
I plan on snowshoeing after the next big snowfall to create a path for the walkers.

Booked an appointment today to get fit with custom orthotics. I'm really hoping this more expensive ($450) solution tp my arch issues works as nothing else has. So far I've tried two new pairs of shoes with different rigidities, inserts of different stiffnesses, running less regularly, running very regularly, pushing through the pain, not pushing through the pain... the list goes on.
Anyway, the appointment is at CWG Footcare on Carling. Booked for Monday the 22nd at 2:00.
