Running 26:36 [3] 3.0 mi (8:52 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 859

Went for a run with some people after school, and my achillies started to hurt after about 2 miles so i will start to stretch more and then i will ice it when I get home.

Swimming 1:30:00 [3]

We did a total of 2800 yards at practice. The practice wasn't hard over all but every one was coughing up a storm, the chlorine must have been high or something.

Orienteering 1:05:48 [3] ***
spiked:17/18c shoes: Asics, Hyper - XC

Score O at Mount Tom. I did it counter clockwise and think I did pretty well, I misplaced my map so im not sure where exactly my mistakes were. But when i find my map I will look it over.

Running 31:56 [3] 3.8 mi (8:24 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 859

was feeling kinda lazy so I went for a run with my neighbor.

Note

I would have gone to swim practice today but I had to go down to Norwich with two other guys from my team so that we could all get interviewed and have our pictures taken to go in the Norwich Bulletin because all three of us were selected to be Norwich Bulletin All Stars. Then when I got home I had to bake three pies to bring in for the NHS pie sale tomorrow.

I dont have another practice until next monday so I will probably go for a few runs this weekend.

Swimming 1:30:00 [4]

This got to be a pretty hard practice towards the end, we did 5 100 freestyle all out and started a new one every two minutes. I finished them continuously on the 1:10 so i got a good 50 seconds rest between each one. Then after those we did never-ending relays for about 15 minutes. In the end we did a total of 2800 yards throughout practice.

Swimming warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Swimming race 4:00 [3]

Im not sure what my times were exactly but i know they were all a lot slower than my PRs. I swam the 100 backstroke,100 breaststroke, and the 100 freestyle. Even though all my times were slow I still got first in all of them by a long shot because there were only three 15-18 year old boys there and the other two were not too fast.

Friday Nov 20, 2009 #

Swimming 1:00:00 [3]

Did 1600 yards at practice.

Monday Nov 16, 2009 #

Swimming 1:30:00 [3]

We did a total of 2800 yard. It was pretty bad because everyone was coughing since the chlorine was too high and the air was too warm.

Orienteering race 1:52:00 [5] *** 13.9 km (8:03 / km) +280m 7:19 / km
spiked:15/18c shoes: Jalas

The traverse was fun, the first map was old and not very good but then the next map was good. I made a bad route choice to 2 where I just took the trails and I lost some ground, and then from 11 to 12 I went over the hill which was slower because going down was slow with the rocks and a cliff.

Swimming warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Swimming race 3:41 [3]
slept:3.0

I did alright today based on the fact that I only got 3 hours of sleep last night because I went to this thing called the superbowl with my church. We stay up all night to go watch a hockey game, go roller skating, and then bowling. So the only sleep I got was the bus ride from the bowling back to my church and then from my church to my swim meet.
For times I got 2:38 for the 200 IM, 28.45 for the 50 Freestyle, and 35.37 for the 50 Breaststroke.

Swimming 1:00:00 [4]

Today was a pretty hard practice we did a total of 2200 yards.

Biking 39:27 [3] 10.8 mi (3:39 / mi)

This morning I took the SAT 2's for Molecular Biology, it was actually a lot easier than i thought it would be and it was easier than the AP test. So after I finished the test I rode my back to my house, picked up some compasses and then rode my bike to Mashamoquet to orienteer.

Orienteering 49:29 [3]

Orienteering 48:45 [3]
shoes: Asics, Hyper - XC

Orienteering 49:55 [3]

Note

I met one of my friends at Mashamoquet and I took him out on the Yellow course, through out the course he had trouble keeping the map lined up with magnetic north, but by the end he was doing well. After we finished I went out and did the Red course on my own to get in some training. Then when I finished my course my neighbor showed up, so I took him on the Yellow course and he caught on pretty quickly and was good with taking bearings.

Swimming 50:00 [3]

We started practice ten minutes late because the last group using the pool was slow getting out, so we only got in 1650 yards.

Thursday Nov 5, 2009 #

Swimming 1:00:00 [3]

Today we did 1950 yards

Note
(rest day)

I am going to take some time off from running to prevent getting an injury again, and since my knee still bothers me a little. So I probably wont do Indoor track, and instead I will go to swim practice more often. Then I will start running again a few weeks before outdoor track.

Running warm up/down 10:32 [3] 1.3 mi (8:06 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 859

Running race 4:46 [3] 1.6 km (2:59 / km)
shoes: Bowerman Series

Holland and I were planning for a while to do a all out mile on the track after the season ended, and our season ended saturday. So today we decided to do it. Our time was better than we expected since we raced two days ago, we were not hydrated and didnt have any competition besides each other.

Running warm up/down 14:36 [3] 1.82 mi (8:00 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 859

Swimming 1:30:00 [3]

This was my first practice in about four months, so I was surprised that I was actually able to keep up with everyone. Through out the practice we did a total of 2500 yards

Orienteering 1:38:00 [3] *** 7.9 km (12:24 / km)
19c shoes: Asics, Hyper - XC

I had a bad run; I wasn't looking at my map enough, I was kind of just straight shooting it and not using attack-points or anything. I probably should have gotten more sleep the night before.
