Inadvertently (due to shit buses) did about 5km walking last night, which was rather slow and painful on the return leg. Didn't feel too bad for it today, and did some more walking, slowly getting a bit more movement and can now bend legs to almost 90° without too much pain. Downstairs is still a problem though.

More slight improvements today, but still really struggling to bend knees properly (slow and painful process).

Wonderful irony that I'm going to see a band called Bleeding Knees Club this evening.

Right knee still oozing a little, both still sore and unable to bend them much but getting more mobile.

Knees not a whole heap better, bending them still slow and painful, which the stairs also continue to be. Don't think I'll be running again this week, hopefully at the weekend.

slept:7.0 (injured) (rest day)

Knees bloody sore and oozing, stairs a problem, not a fun day.

Tried cycling down to the shops, this was also slow and painful.

Cycling warm up/down 30:00 [3] 12.0 km (24.0 kph) +50m

Cycling! Back on two wheels, this was a joy, despite rush hour traffic and some light rain. Down to Monterey for the orienteering.

Orienteering race (Score) 45:12 [5] 11.1 km (4:04 / km) +20m 4:02 / km
ahr:175 max:189 (injured) shoes: Inov-8 Road-X 255 (old)

This was all going so well.

This was fairly flat, fast and straightforward, so much so that I was through 5km in under 19 minutes. Unfortunately, shortly after that I stacked it big time, tripping on a hole in the road while reading the map and landing on both my knees, ripping them up fairly nicely.

After that the pace dropped considerably as my knees stiffened up, and I ended up just over time having cleared the course, I think I could have done it around the 40 minute mark.

Was enjoying wearing proper running shoes again, although given this was only their second outing they're now nicely covered in blood. Also enjoyed a double rainbow over Botany Bay.
