Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Orienteering race 1:26:00 [5]
(injured)

Nationals long - started off nice and easy, 90 degree error on #4, lost it around the control at #5, reso good middle section. Didnt see anyone for most of the course, then caught up Bill at #23 and seemed to think that i had to speed up (how wrong i was!!). Was really happy to be able to turn up the pace, but just made stupid mistakes running like a headless chook! Got really thrown by todd at #25, then was frantic through the last few controls, completely screwing up the last 3-4, ran striaght #28, onto #29, then back again. But on the brightside, i get my name published........under the definition for 'fucktard'! grrr

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3]

Orienteering race 36:50 [5]
(injured)

Nationals Middle - Started off easy, trying to stay in control, lost about a min on #4, then caught up a small group at #7, tried running away but got dragged down the hill (when i should have just had enough confidence in myself! grrr) so lost another 60-90secs. Got away from them, then caught up ACW and tried getting away from him. But noticed i was taking some shitty lines through the forest on a couple of controls and he would gain back the 20-30 sec gaps i put on him! grrr. Ran off up the hill and into the finish. 2mins off the win :( and missed world games as a result :(

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3]

Orienteering race 14:00 [5]
(injured)

National Sprint - was going alright, a few little wobbles, but nothing major......until control #13, where i screwed up by not reading the map and turned one building too early, which stuffed up my route choice and about 20secs, got a bit frantic, then just thought about running, and didnt read the map enough on the way to #14, loosing another 10-15 secs and dropping 2 places in the process! Real gutted to loose it on the way to the last control, would have been content with 4th place, but ended up in 6th. grrrr
