Running (Mix) 7:00 [2]

Warmup. Didn't get much time to warm up since I was running start. I boomed 1 and 2 anyway, so it wouldn't have mattered.

Orienteering (Woods) 1:02:55 [4] 6.6 km (9:32 / km) +345m 7:33 / km
spiked:10/13c

SLOC cold nose meet at Babler (1:15). Lived up to its name with temps in the teens for the start. Some snow on the ground, but generally good running.

Boomed the first two for about 4 minutes total error. Settled down and ran really clean after that with only one small bobble the rest of the way. 2nd on Red to Dave Frei.

Orienteering (Woods) 22:00 [3]

Control pickup.

Note

Decided on the WRX Wagon. Hey, it's a family car, just a really fast family car. Subaru includes a 1-year SCCA membership with each WRX, so maybe I'll get my money's worth and race it a few times this summer. Does it count as a mid-life crisis if you never grew up in the first place?

Tae Kwon Do (Technique) 1:30:00 [2]

A friend of mine who happens to be the current US TKD forms champ invited me to join his classes to improve my flexibility and agility. Might help avoid a future back injury. It was interesting, although I'm not really cut out for this coordination stuff.

Tae Kwon Do (Cardio) 1:00:00 [4]

After the technique work, we did an hour of cardio work. Lots of kicking and punching, which was fun.

Orienteering (Woods) 2:52:00 [4]

Extreme-O. Tired and sloppy at the start. About halfway through I decided to just make it a training run and enjoyed the 2nd half a lot more. Some of the stuff was pretty cool. ST=67/67.
