Finally managed to pull a team together and do an afterwork rogaine! James and Dawn were lovely, awesome team. We did a lot better than any of us expected. Dawn was late, so James and I planned a 9-control route with the possibility to extend it by a couple if we had time.

We were way too cautious with our planning so we ended up extending it by a lot in the Newtown area of the map. Ended up grabbing number 100 which always feels great!

9 minutes back and one wrong control (wrong possum trap) took us down from 570 points to 450. I reckon with better planning (ie a better idea of how far we're actually capable of going in 90 minutes) we'll be very able to beat that score next month!

I'M BACK

Slowly and with still-slightly-abnormal lungs, but I'M BACK

Lunchtime run from work along oriental parade and back. Started out WAY too hard for a gentle return to exercise because I was feeling good and excited about it. Managed to settle into a more manageable pace for the middle of the run, despite battling some very strong wind at times. Last km was pretty slow - my body feels stiff from inactivity and my lungs are still not quite back to normal so they were struggling a bit from the cold air.
