Note

My allergies mostly survived being on a boat from 9-5. My sense of balance did not. I still feel like I'm on a moving boat and not on solid ground. Exhausted, no running today (barely slept because of my decongestant, on top of the general excursion/social event exhaustion).

Note
(rest day)

Currently on 2 zyrtec a day and a decongestant and I still feel like I have a head cold. Those allergy shots were doing more than I thought they were (first spring in like 5 years without them). Suffice it to say, I do not feel like running or spending more time outside today, especially since I'll be on a boat from 9-5 tomorrow. Guess I'm taking the rest part of the taper seriously.

Running 39:05 [2] 3.0 mi (13:02 / mi) +30m 12:38 / mi
shoes: Green Magnifly 5

Was supposed to be half marathon pace, but due to allergies I bailed by mile 1. If my allergies stay this bad, the remainder of my runs are probably going to be on the treadmill.

Warm-Up/Cool Down 8:01 [0] 0.4 mi (20:02 / mi) +3m 19:35 / mi

Gymnastics 2:00:00 [2]

did my first ever flyaway!! It wasn't even spotted or anything, I just threw it over the pit and hoped for the best (I did land on my face a couple times first). I have like 3.5 rips on my left hand now, so washing my hands stings like crazy, but it was worth it

Warm-Up/Cool Down 6:01 [0] 0.33 mi (18:14 / mi) +3m 17:44 / mi

Running long 2:33:41 [2] 12.0 mi (12:48 / mi) +70m 12:35 / mi
shoes: Green Magnifly 5

Had to stop and stretch quite a bit (and search for a bathroom because the one on the trail wasn't open) in the first couple miles, but after that it was smooth sailing - so that's good news for my new shoes. And given my pace, I feel pretty confident I can PR in two weeks even if things don't go quite to plan.
