Note
(injured)

Woke with left groin soreness for the first time in close to 2 years.
It is the same OP pain, so at least now I know how to treat it. I have booked in for a painful massage, but I can't get in until Thursday.

Course 9 with the boys.
This was a nice easy course, with handrails all of the way. The boys enjoyed this.

State Series at Kimbolton North
Bruce 62
David 70
Bryan 71
This was deceptively tricky. Kimbolton used to be fast and fairly simple. A couple of wet seasons and some timber felling have changed that. Visibility was much lower, and running speed decreased in large parts of the forest, which actually made it very challenging.
I almost came unstuck on numerous occasions, but extra careful compass work saved me. Running at a higher speed seemed to help as features appeared more quickly confirming my location.
I did make a meal of 10, losing 3 minutes after not trusting my compass, and checking out a parallel gully.
Others seemed to lose much more time than this.
The last third of the course was particularly good for me, after I realised that the course was not that long and I needed to speed up.

Route Gadget
Some nice "noodles" from some runners. I am sure that most of the orienteers without GPS would also have some if they actually knew where they went today.
