Trail Running 3:50:46 [3] 16.7 mi (13:49 / mi) +717m 12:12 / mi
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 4 - Gray3

My watch died yesterday and I never thought to bring a charging cord. I planned a route that was estimated at 15.5 based mostly on AllTrails and highlighted it on the rothrock state forest map.

Hard to avoid hills in this part of the world so I at least tried tackle them as gently as possible. The first prolonged uphill wasn’t too bad. The Tussey mountain trail along the ridge was probably our favorite, it was very runnable and some nice views of the surrounding ridges. A light snow started while we were up there. We never saw the shingle path trail we intended to take down, and when we got to a power line we knew we had missed it so we took the power line straight down the hill to meet up with a road. We did find where shingle path crossed the road and started down it, but quickly lost it again so we decided to take the power line again to the next trail junction. It looked like we might’ve had to wade across a wide stream but found a dry crossing point on rocks. From that point we started a prolonged uphill slog on a series of trials that started out pretty rocky and treacherous, switched to a not too bad two track, and then turned into the little flat trail, which was indeed very little, and not at all flat. From there we had about 2 miles on a rocky ridge line to the fire tower, and then a mile straight down hill on an icy path back the car. The last mile is the only time we saw any people, so it must be a popular hike up to the fire tower. That being said almost every trial had some tracks in the snow, so there must be hearty adventurous types in these parts. Pretty jealous of this great trail system.

Yoga. Took too long off and was starting to realize I was feeling the lack of stretching. So back into it
Also took today off from exercise because I am just beat from a hectic couple weeks at work plus exercise schedule, I think it was a good call.
