Touch 40:00 [4]

Mens. Drew 4-4. Fastest game I've played yet... was against the other (better) phantoms team. Unlucky not to win since one of their tries probably shouldn't have counted. We were pretty happy drawing with an unbeaten team tho. Realised I'm actually starting to get pretty unfit... think I'm finally getting the motivation back.

Road Bike 50:00 [1]
shoes: Ridley Orion

Ride with Emma from her place on her new roadie... Mainly on the Howrah bike track. She did well to only fall off once while trying to unclip the cleats... did the old upclip the right but fall to the left trick :)

Running 20:00 [2] 4.6 km (4:21 / km)
ahr:149 shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Was hoping to build up into some decent runs again this week... but haven't really been able to so far. Even though my hip was still bloody annoying today again, decided I would go for a short easy run to see if it would help loosen it up a bit. Didn't feel too bad once I got going, but don't think I wanna do too much on it. Fat and lazy again... mainly just my running muscles that weren't happy, cause my cardio felt fine (even though yes it was only 20 minutes..).

Note

Walking was a struggle today... not to mention trying to use the clutch. Not sure why my left hip decided to be nasty. Very tight... Quad pretty much ok now... but earlobe still half swollen. However, it isn't anywhere near as hot anymore...

Touch 40:00 [4]

Mixed. Lost 7-8. Another pretty horrible game... much better than last week... but I think everyone just ran out of energy in the second half since we didn't have subs. Would have been an interesting game with a full team. Quad has pulled up pretty sore again... and my ear lobe hurts still.

Road Bike 1:00:00 [2] 22.0 km (2:44 / km)
ahr:120

Was planning a big ride with Louis before he goes away to Bali... but the weather started to turn pretty nasty. Looked pretty wet, cold and windy on the mountain so we decided just to cruise out along the bike track to Glenorchy and back through North Hobart. It was windy enough along there anyway... I think at one point we would have been struggling to go faster than walking pace cause of the winds.

Touch 40:00 [4]

Mens. 10-3. Alright... knee to the quad... its bruising up nicely :)

Touch 40:00 [4]

Mixed. Lost 6-3. Crap and frustrating.

Road Bike 2:40:00 [3] 67.2 km (2:23 / km) +900m 2:14 / km
ahr:140 shoes: Ridley Orion

Ride with Matty and Louis from Matty's house up the bike path past the bridgewater bridge then up through molesworth and over the hills below collins cap. Then back down into Glenorchy, along the bike path back. Awesome ride, shite weather for parts... but the heavy rain held off til we got back. Ran into Bernard out past Glenorchy so had another couple of guys to ride with most of the way back.
Legs packed it in coming back through town... don't think they are used to riding after a month or so since I've been on the bike. Latte and tart at South Hobart foodstore on the way home fixed that.

Touch 40:00 [3]

Mixed. Won 10-3. Crap game.

Touch 40:00 [4]

Mens. Lost 3-2. Average game.

Orienteering race (Tas Sprint Champs) 17:53 [5] 3.8 km (4:42 / km)
shoes: Adidas Neptunes

Tas Sprint Champs at Five Mile. Decent course (thanks to a few map updates) considering how boring the area is and how many times its been used. Felt surprisingly good considering the lack of structured training for the past few weeks. Guess a couple of touch games a week and the odd run down at Pittwater taping controls has done something. Thought it was about time to start logging again since there's only a week left of exams... can't wait till they're over!
