Got to #7 in my 20 mins of running, what I did was clean and with good routes. Nice.

S6D - Birsemore Hill - Results



First at #5 by 40s.

First 5 controls hard and in control but still feeling slow terrain, legs especially reluctant at the start. Could have probs got 6 and 7 in my 15 mins but had a bit of a mare to 6.

Just didn't know which feature it was on in the circle; I navigated perfectly to the boulder just beside the control, couldn't see it, panicked and ran off. In situations like these I just need to stop and check everything and then move off to attack the control again. If I had done this and checked my descriptions to see the control was on the hill not the boulder I would have lost minimal time. Things like these that only racing can teach and engrain.

Only allowed to do 15 mins so just did 15 mins pretty hard, puffing a bit, feeling unfit but nav good. Apart from #2 where I binned 30s with a stupid parallel error, should have looked at the height difference.
After that just walked the course. Think this will be the story of the week.

Foot felt fine whilst racing, bit sore when I was walking but only an ache every now and then. Fine after as well which is nice. Might be able to complete a course by the end :)
