This could have been a good run. The good things to take out of this was my running was a strong as it's been for a while and I cycled there and back as well. When I got into the run, my navigation was good as well.
To #1, I didn't clock the path fork on the map or on the ground. Was lucky to find the control, only because I saw other people go to it. No map contact. Lost 3 mins.
Made a parallel error leaving #6. Was unfortunate that the path junctions and distances were similar on the 2 paths. When I didn't find the control where I expected it, I pushed on. I quickly lost map contact and ran a long way round before anything made sense again. Huge loss of 14mins. Learning points are to check with Mr Compass when I'm in an area of lots of similar paths. And make sure the path junction is the one I expect when I'm exiting a green area.
After that, a good solid run.
