awesome ride up in the gats. did some single track and then fought our way up pink. lots of walkers out which made careening around corners a bit of a hazard.

orienteering 45:44 [3]

awesome night-o out at kanata lakes!!!! first 10 controls were a matrix which were tricky but not too too crazy. jeff and i leap-frogged around that and then headed onto an actual course which was sick running. super open woods which were gorgeous and with the correct panning technique you could spot the control pretty easily. jeff and i were still together until 14 and then i pulled ahead. i took a horrible bearing to 18 and lost a good 2min but was still in the lead. i did manage to finish off the rest of the course without getting to excited and making another dumb mistake. it was just a perfect night for being out and i brought 3 friends along and they had a great time too!!

orienteering 20:30 [3]

picking up controls. chilly willy!!

running 47:17 [3] 10.7 km (4:25 / km)
ahr:183 max:198

so advanced functions and weightfit were cancelled except lunch was inbetween and i had to tutor then. bummer. so first cancelled class we took a run down to timmy's and basically ate a dozen donuts... so grosss. anyways so then second cancelled class i booted it home and headed out for a 45min run. I figured that I'd just toodle around but then as I was going along I was trying to think of how far i could go in 45min... "welllll, 10k is kinda doable" and that was then end of my toodling. the rest of the run was kinda epic. i know my dad and i time-trialled this a while back... and it was the exact same route and i did it in 50min!!! awww yeahh!!! hip hip horray for getting faster!!! :) the only dilemna was that i had to go back physics class; and sitting after running all that was bruuutal.

yoga/pilates 45:00 [1]

i requested some leg stretching... and oh man we did it the whole time!!! my hamstrings were cramping like crazy when we had to do this weirdo advanced horse pose.

cycling 1:15:00 [3]

on the way home from school i had an epiphany that not night-riding might be an awesome adventure. my dad and i drove out to stoney swamp after dinner and cycled off into darkness. it was actually pretty creepy because there were eyes shining everywhere and we lost the trail a couple times and i was pretty sure that we were going to die out there. we had to be soooo careful cause in the dark we couldn't see the roots and if we hit them just a bit off the front wheel jack knifed and then we went flyyyying. it actually happened to my dad once and he actually fly a good meter and a half before putting a dent in a tree. ouchies!!!

cycling 1:45:00 [3]

my dad dragged my out of bed sooo early this morning so that we could get on the trails before church. the trails were pretty slippery but it was definitely worth getting up for!!! we booked it around some trails and then crossed the road for some really technical stuff. at one point, i was going over this cliff and my bike seat ended up digging into my stomach. figure that one out...
