X-country skiing warm up/down 50:00 [2] 6.0 km (8:20 / km)

Skied my course with some other junior girls, and then afterwards went out and skied it again cause i wasn't sure of what else to do and it was freezing out, so that warmed me up quite nicely.

X-country skiing race 9:26 [5] 3.0 km (3:09 / km)

Much much faster race today!! though the lack of the fresh powder definitely helped, same with not being sick, but it still felt like a great race! Started out with a Colonel By girl, and she put some distance between me, then i made it up on the long hill, and then she went in the track which was not a very good idea. Her ski came out, or she tried to get out or something, but she ended up doing a face plant in the middle of the trail and i had to go around her, nearly going into the snowbank, but i stayed on me skis! phew!! Powered up the really short but steep hill right before the stadium, and then the Colonel By girl passed me again going through the stadium, and then i couldn't catch her again on the last hill. Fun race, though it felt really short. Ended up 9th which I am happy with, and with the first 3 girls qualifying for ofsaa, i 'moved' up to 6th, so that means a get to go to ofsaa!!!! woohoo!!!!

X-country skiing race 2:00 [5] 800.0 km ( / km)

Not totally sure of time, but it was a really short loop for the relays, and I really booked it the whole way. I was the anchor on my team, but there was a huge gap between 2nd and 3rd, us being in 3rd, and then another huge gap between 3rd and 4th. Whole Nepean team was up at the top of the Jackrabbit loop, so there was some major cheering going on up there as a nepeanknight went by! pretty funny!!!

running 35:00 [2]

Running around Cherie's neighborhood with the junior crew which was a lot of fun! Easy pace at the beginning, and then picked it up again for the last few minutes.

cycling (road) 30:00 [2]

A wet ride over to Carlton to meet Robbie, started out with hail stones, which hurt, and then it turned to rain, and then that rain froze so by the time I actually got there, I was one big sheet of ice!!

running warm up/down 25:00 [1]

Warmup run around the track and then some stretching to get ready for the 5km time trial ahead. woohoo!!

running 20:44 [5] 5.0 km (4:09 / km)

Not used to such a square track, and it's only 230m so we had 21.7 laps to do which was quite daunting. Started out with fast 50sec laps, but by the 10th one, we had slowed down a bit. For the first half I tried my best to keep pace with Robbie while getting distracted by the people playing rugby and soccer on the fields. After that though, I just put my head down and ran. Robbie had to stop cause of a cramp after about 12 or 13 laps, and then joined back in for the last 4 or 5. Counting the laps was soooo confusing!!! I did my best to keep track of them by just counting on my fingers, but there were times when I wasn't sure if we were on our 8th or 9th lap. I think I got it right though, but if I ever do it again, then i'll bring a pen and just mark off every lap on my arm so then I'll be 110% sure!! :P

running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

Pretty dead after attempting to push the last few laps, so the first few cooldown laps were pretty brutal but after that it was fine.

cycling 40:00 [1]

Was greeted by ice slicked roads after the run and also a nicely ice covered bike! Piled up 3 times but thankfully it was only in the experimental farm so there weren't any cars around. 1 second, I'd be absolutely fine riding along, and then i'd hit a ridge or bump in the road, and my bike would fly out from under me, and i'd suddenly be on the ground. note: ice covered pavement is not a soft landing! gonna have some nasty bruises tomorrow!! Island Park was fine though and then only the side streets were a bit icy.
