running 1:09:00 [1]

Not a good run. I just wasn't in the running mood today. The roads were pretty icy, and when I was down by the river, it was all snowbanks along the path. Had to force myself to keep running a lot too.

cycling hills 45:00 [3]

Different spin teacher but atleast this time I actually got a cool down before running off to band. We did 3 hills. Each one getting longer. Pretty tough but seemed like a really short class.

X-country skiing 1:30:00 [2]

Went up to P10 and did the parkway and then the #3 trail. Some pretty hard hills there, but it was equaled out with the downhill parts. Got back out to the parkway and decided to take a more round about way of getting back which turned out to be quite interesting in the dark. Plus, the trail that we were on was a "difficult" one so there were lots of kickass uphills and even more kickass downhills with lots of turns. Since it was so dark, we didn't have any depth or distance perception. It was also really really hard to see the bumps on the trail, so it really took you by surprise when you went over some bump inexpectingly. Really nice that the whole last 5min was straight downhill but it was a bit cold. Great ski though!!! :P

running warm up/down 20:00 [3]

Ran to the start
Ran back to the pool

orienteering 52:14 [2] ***
19c

Orienteered in the streets of Kanata which was cool, except I was dumb and didn't bring my headlamp with me so I had to read the map in the dark. That was quite interesting. Didn't make too many mistakes, and the ones that I did make was because I couldn't see what the control feature was...

X-country skiing race (ski-o) 1:42:00 [3] 12.0 km (8:30 / km)

I can't think of a more awkward sport!!! With skiing and orienteering separate, you can go pretty fast, but when you mix the too, it's sooo slow!!! I had to stop a bunch of times to fix everything that was pinned onto me, and pretty much every time you look at the map, you need to stop. Other than that though, it was a great race. Really nice in the back even though you had to classic most of it. Even did a little bit bush whacking, although that didn't work very well. Unfortunately, or Fortunately, the course avoided all of the giant hills at Nakkertok, but it was still very tiring on the back counrty trails.
