spin bike 20:00 [1]

woke up with my left achilles so tight I could barely walk. Compensation for the bee sting on the other foot? Between those two and the bug that has me, I went back to bed instead of running the Swissvale mile. After a long day with the kids so Gail could get a day to do a few things, I got on the bike and, even though I started out feeling a little better then a few days ago, I ended up shutting down at 20 minutes not able to get any rhythm at 200 watts... I am a mess. The bug really has me just feeling wasted.

Got stung by a bee on my right foot while mowing... so it begins for another year. Gail applied a baking soda paste and it did seem to limit my extreme swelling reaction, usually my whole foot up about half a sock length is one huge balloon... can't run on it at all. This time the swelling was much larger then a normal person, but it did limit. I quick got in a run before that changed.

The run was rough. The swelling definitely affected my right foot, which affected my left foot-strike and my achilles as a result. What was even more pronounced though was the same feeling of weakness. I have had diarrhea for 2 days... something is definitely in my system. I survived the run with the best form I could, but I struggled.

spin bike 30:00 [1]

when Gail got home for the day, I was exhausted. I just can't see to recover from the lack of sleep over the last few months. I am just exhausted every day and getting good sleep.

I even drove over to North Park for a run and knew the whole time it just wouldn't work. I felt awful. I finally got up the muster to run and then a few strides later I stopped and headed back to the house and got on the bike to try to spin it out.

I felt as awful as expected. I rode what I could stay relaxed at and barely broke 100 bpm and 150 watts after 20 minutes.

Met Gail at the park so she could run with the girls and I could get out for a trail run. Then followed up with Claire getting some playground time in. Run was better then yesterday. I felt better form, but was tight and just a little too rigid. My achilles was tight but I could get my form to alleviate it, when I focused. My knee was similar. Hit the same downed trees as yesterday in mile 5 and did a face-plant on the mud on the Rachel Carson trail. Last mile my glutes felt like they were actually getting strained... a weird run, but satisfying.

Easy run meeting up with Joe w. and Gail during workday so Gail could run with the girls and I could get out for a run. Ran with Joe W. We went easy as Joe had run a lot recently. The plan was to run 3 with him and then add on, but we ran 4 and then stopped to talk about everything going on before I went on and I ran out of time and just finished up 5 with him.

We ran up the ridge and then down on trails.. lots of downed trees from the storm.

My left achilles was definitely flaring... I didn't feel great at all.

Nordic Track 20:00 [2]

found a way to bring Abby Downstairs and get in 20 minutes on Nordic Track because I wasn't satisfied with the run and wanted to get a little more effort in, but nothing hard. Was OK, form came and went.

PT 30:00 [1]

stretching during day, rolling and clams at night.

stretching in morning and rolling in afternoon. Gail couldn't get home in time for me to get out today. That is probably for the better.

Parker Dam again... and it poured again... and a trail was just a swamp and this time I couldn't even find part of the Laurel Run trail and had to turn around and run a dirt road. I did connect to the CCC trail, which was a lot of grass.

Physically I was bad. everything that somehow felt good during the race yesterday was a mess today. My left achilles and knee hurt. By the end my hamstring hurt. Just got worse as the short very easy run went on...

This was very easy, but poured again. HR data should have been very low, but this low?
