Easter Day 2. Just losing concentration and making loads of dumb mistakes. Getting up before 7am does not allow my brain to function properly.

First day of Easter. I was trying to be really cautious and going slowly to avoid big mistakes. I went well until the long leg from 9-10 where I could not match anything on the ground to anywhere on map. I lost about 6 minutes on that leg, and I thought that I got caught by the winner on the next control. Turns out after looking at splits that they actually punched #10 before me and screwed up the next one. I sped up a bit through the last section trying to keep him in sight and I was clean through the rest of the course as well. Ended up in 8th overall, 10 mins behind the leader and also 10 mins ahead of 9th place.

Easter prologue. I had the second start of the day, making it a bit harder having to make tracks through all the long grass myself. I screwed up #2 and #4 overshooting them not being used to the 1:5000 scale, losing about 2min on both. After that I was pretty clean until #17, which was a long leg of to the end of the map. #18 was very close and I had the map folded over so I couldn't see #17, so I went straight to 18. Not the best start but at least this one doesn't count towards the 3 days competition.
