Orienteering race (Middle) 55:46 [4] 7.01 km (7:57 / km)
shoes: LaSportiva Raptor

Ontario Champs Middle Distance: started well, but misread the map by control 3, resulting in major time loss. Other errors compounded, though I recovered somewhat. Not a great race, could definitely have done better.

Orienteering race (Sprint) 27:38 [4] 5.39 km (5:08 / km)
shoes: New Balance 860

Ontario Champs Sprint: started very well, was actually leading for 4 controls, then borked completely, costing me a medal - "straight away" is not a good indicator; "follow the street" is. Did not recover well at all, took too long to re-attack from the previous control. Did fairly well after, until the spectator control where hubris made me sprint, then had to walk, and brain did not recover well for control 14. Analysing time lost at those two controls, I could have been 3rd, even 2nd, had the rest been the same. Very much a personal disappointment.

Orienteering race 1:42:37 [3] 13.28 km (7:44 / km)
shoes: LaSportiva Raptor

Much better race, most of the time lost (other than first control) was due to glasses fogging up and not able to see controls in the same clearing 10m away. After wiping them with damp tissues, they never fogged again. Twice I quickly realised I was not where I was expecting to be, and quickly corrected myself to the control. Sadly, this is still unusual for me...
