3-hr and 6-hr orienteering mini-rogaine in Raccoon Creek SP near Pittsburgh, in which participants use topographic map and compass to locate up to 50 checkpoints in rugged terrain. Solo participants and teams of 2-5 people can pre-register at WPOC.org, cost is $15 for the 3-hr event and $25 for the 6-hr event (if registerering after March 11, add $10). Map specially made for the event is 1:15000 scale, four colors. Award categories are for Solo, All Male team, All Female team, Mixed, Masters Team (ages 40+), Super Masters team (ages 55+). Day-of registration is allowed. Starting point is Rec Hall, located 1.5 miles W of park headquarters on Route 18.
