Note
(injured)

Based on another podiatrist visit what I have is tendonitis and minor periostitis of the third metatarsal. It is possibly due to an isolated small rock that I stepped on in the beginning of my tempo run. Normally my feet do not react in such way from stepping on rocks but I guess due to insufficient body recovery from previous hard workouts this rock led to actual acute injury. It is also possible that shoes played a role. Anti-inflammatories and rest from running will allow it to heal hopefully within another 10 days. I don't know if I should attempt to run at West Point; there are many rocks there.

Running 8:00 [1]
(injured) shoes: Altra 1.5

Tested my foot and didn't get very far. The localized pain on front forefoot near third metatarsal has lessened significantly over the past week but during this jog my whole ankle was throbbing. More rest. I was really looking forward to tomorrow's sprints but need to be patient.

Note
(injured)

Foot pain is worst in the mornings and after periods of resting, best in the evenings, almost can't feel much. That means it is getting better. Should I wait until the pain is completely gone to run?
