Orienteering race 50:59 [4] 8.9 km (5:44 / km)

Gunapin Ridge.
Pretty disappointing run, got a bit too excited and went out too fast, losing a good 5 minutes before the 9th control. Pretty smooth after that but the damage had been done.

Saturday Aug 3, 2013 #

Orienteering race 35:00 [4] 8.0 km (4:23 / km)

ECU Mt. Lawley sprint.
Small route choice errors at 3, 6, 9, and had to battle with some tourists at 12. Was a little shaky round the south east end of the map, although don't think I lost much time. Glad with how I felt physically, tired at the end as usual, but must have kept the speed up, and executing the routes was all smooth. Time includes warm up and down.

Couldn't be bothered pumping up my tires so opted for an easy couple of laps of lake monger instead, with two 1k tempo surges thrown in to keep things fresh, which ended up being 3:40 and 3:30. Felt really flat though, and tight in the legs, so might rest up tomorrow, don't want to overdo things in the first week back.

Another easy run round kings park, felt a little stiff, going to cycle tomorrow then get back into the hard sessions on friday.

Riding a motivation high after europe, so going to get back into logging. Easy run round kings park, no dramas
