Orienteering race 18:53 [5] 3.4 km (5:33 / km)

State sprint champs at Murdoch. Overall average run, wasted a bit of time on a few legs deciding which route to take, then had some poor route choices at 11, 13 and 15. Felt like a fair bit of the course was running along a road or straight path then ducking into a control site at the last second, and of course there was the misplaced number 6. Also a winning time of 19 minutes would hint to the course being too long, you can really see my pace drop off after 13, but all these points aside it was good fun.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3]

Time is a bit of a guess, stopped and started a fair bit, but this is my warm up and stretching. Warm down consisted of about 100m jogging so why bother.

Orienteering 57:33 [3] 8.4 km (6:51 / km)

H2 at Catholic Ag college. Relatively open for most of it, ridiculously thick everywhere else. Lost time on 5 where I ran over the creek without noticing, 11 I pulled up to early, 12 and 13 i was to far west on the slopes. 15 I just got confused by the vegetation and lost about 2 minutes, and took a terrible bearing to 18. Rest was nice and quick.
