Event: WCOC Pond Mt

Orienteering race (Red course) 1:02:34 [4] 5.37 mi (11:39 / mi)

Ran the Red course at Pond Mt......nice course set up by George and Lynn Walk.....knee worked well ...no falls....but I took it easy in any area that was rocky.....slow time but good nav. on all controls but No. 9....was headed for it dead on....but saw someone over to the left and thought I was to far to the right and went over that way ......must learn to just do my own thing and not get bothered by others......work hard to find good attack points..... it worked well only had one route that was not dead on......know where I was at all times......now need to try to make it work and go a little faster ......good two days in the woods......feel better about what I am doing the I have been in the last few weeks....we now will see what happens at L.G. next week........Nice Course George and Lynn.....Thanks for your hard work......

Ran the green course at HVO meet in Holmes N.Y.......good day....goof on No. 2 saw No. 5 and ran over there ....wrong no. had gone to far right no trouble the rest of the way.....I had gotten to things real fast and then I ck'ed the scale....and it was 1-53k ..... but it was nice to have a map that I could see things on .....did take a bad route to No. 13 ....going ok then saw a house and yard....didn't want to go through someones yard so went the hard way through the brambles.....found out later it was part of the camp and I could have run through the yard and field past it ....oh well .... left knee popped yesterday while walking the dog ....but felt ok today ....but I was going slow and I was careful where I went....fun day in the woods which were very run able.....

Easy run on Peck Lane loop....but it was not easy ......felt like a ton of wt. on my back.....legs sore and back hurts.....need to stop the yard work or find a new sport where I can just sit in the house.....have the R.V. down on the street and can start loading it and getting it ready for next weeks trip up north.....

Ran the Lambert Lane loop....legs still sore and tight....left knee is real puffed up....and sore.....legs got loose by the end of the run ....but not much life left in them......back sore from the yard work and lugging camper gear up from the basement.....
