I had a disastrous first control, which was an easy CP, but I was running like I do in Thomass races: run to the general area and expect to easily see the CP. It was a silly error that could have been prevented by simply stopping and reading the map more carefully. Maybe I'm too comfortable making these silly mistakes because I really didn't get too angry. I navigated well afterwards, until another biggish error to 12 and a smallish error to 21. Otherwise, I had a fun day out. Physically I felt quite good, except for a couple of twinges in my ankle from yesterday.

Ran-it Granite Middle. A good race for me, but the course was a bit on the easy side. No big mistakes, but lots of hesitation. I was slow inside the control circle for a lot of the controls. I was being too cautious, but also I was having some problems with my glasses fogging up. Unfortunately, I rolled my ankle while running a little too aggressively downhill into CP 9. It is not too bad, but I'll definitely need to be careful over the next month as it heals.
